This specially developed IML gripper is designed for small and large-format labels and enables precise insertion through an accurately pneumatically adjustable mechanism – even at low insertion angles.
The gripper consists of contour-accurate label plates made of laser-sintered PA12, ensuring a perfect fit.
It can be flexibly combined with IML preparation systems and is operated by a 6-axis or linear robot.
Automatic removal of the labeled products is integrated – for smooth, efficient operation.

The AfiPro IML label preparation covers the spectrum from multi-cavity to large-area labels – for example, for buckets over 65 L in volume.
Labels are provided in drawer magazines, lifted by motor and positioned precisely with a centering ring.
Depending on the application, a motorized or pneumatic preparation gripper takes the labels and places them accurately for pickup by handling or robot.
Flexible change sets enable minimal setup times for buckets, cups, cans, lids or bowls; brushing units with electrostatic charging reliably fix even metallized labels.

- 1–4 sides can be labeled; quick changeover to different product and label formats
- Two drawer magazines, motorized lifting, centering ring; transfer plate positionable on top or side
- 6-axis robot with insertion/double-insertion/removal gripper
- Fixing via tool vacuum or integrated high voltage in the gripper
This modular IML system is designed for large-volume plastic products such as beverage crates, storage and transport containers and can label 1 to 4 sides.
Two drawer magazines, motorized lifting and a centering ring ensure precise label preparation; the transfer plate can be positioned on the system roof or on the side.
Depending on the layout, a linear handling system or a 6-axis robot takes over the labels. Fixing is done via tool vacuum or integrated high voltage in the gripper – even for complex cavities.
The system is designed for series production, flexible in variants, and can be integrated into higher-level automation or traceability systems on request.
